Annual Conference 2021 Highlights

We welcomed over 100 attendees and 19 key speakers at the 'BRIGHTER FUTURE: Innovations for post-COVID-19 housing recovery' conference. Our 20th anniversary annual conference was held virtually on 14th October.

The conference brought together some of the housing sector's leading experts to explore the changing housing landscape and discuss long-term, innovative solutions to the coming challenges.

We discussed the levelling up agenda, where Jo Richardson, CIH president, commented: "Levelling up is important for communities to increase happiness in the area".

During the panel discussion on how to prevent homelessness for domestic abuse survivors, Gudrun Burnet said: "social housing white paper talks about having domestic abuse policy - but this is so much bigger than having a policy...There is so much more to do and once Housing providers start working on this, the change will be dramatic".
